It was the best of days painting this perfectly imperfect protea.
It began with mark making and experimenting on paper with organic marks using deep brown ink, water and some palm fronds I found whilst out walking the doggies.
These marks ended up being the centre of the protea.
Painted in acrylic and ink on mixed media paper – this piece is full of natural organic imperfections which I LOVE!
Size wise it is aprox 126cm x 155cm – but I literally just cut it off the roll and started work so I’ve left all the ‘boarder’ around this so your framer has space to align the artwork and remove any excess trim.
